Rivervale Mall - GO GREEN

Every morning, I will walk pass the walkway near my office, never fail to see a small plant growing at the small corner which is out of the compound. No doubt the plant has grow at the area where fall under jurisdiction of another management however its still within our reach, we should have remove it instead of let it grow and grow. Sound stupid hor.... ha ha ha..... but leh very interesting when admire the growth of the plant as the time passes. It would be another scene If It turns to a BIG Plant and obstruct the transit of the vehicles.. Wa HA HA HA HA.... See the pics..

Volunteering at Changi Airport T3 -(7 July)

My company from the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) dept is organising a half-day educational tour of T3 for Canossaville Children's Home beneficiaries on 7 July (Mon). The aim of this tour is to afford the children the chance to learn about one of the highly-acclaimed infrastructure in Singapore. hehehe..... so happy to lend my pair of hands to them.

Anlene Orchard Mile 2008 - 15 June 08

Ha Ha.. I had sucessfully registered for the woman mile held at orchard. Run and run.. heehee... That night, the moment I received the mailer , immediately contact my colleagues to join. hahaha.. None of my friends are interested cos Running mah... Ayo...... Today we received our bib number, can go and buy 4D liao. WAHAHAHAHA!!!! We have to collect our race pack prior to the race date. heehee... so fun..... Sichuan Earthquake - Aid & Support From Capitaland & Staff

Hello Friends, below are the list of efforts by our company and staff since the disaster on 12 May 2008:
Corporate Donation
RMB5 million donation from CapitaLand Hope Foundation (CHF)
- RMB3 million donated to China Youth Development Foundation (CYDF) for the building of CapitaLand
Hope Schools.
- RMB2 million donated to China Charity Federation (CCF) to help affected children.
Staff Donation
- about RMB720,000 were collected from staff in Singapore, China, Japan and Malaysia as cash donations to
CCF for quake relief purposes.
- emergency relief items e.g. raincoat, clothing, tents etc were promptly consolidated by our Retail and
and Chengdu offices and distributed to the quake victims.
Staff Volunteers
- about 10 staff working in Sichuan volunteered to participate in frontline disaster recovery work;some of them
have also lost their homes to the earthquake.
Rebuilding Efforts
CapitaLand Hope Relief Classrooms
- RMB1 million from the amount donated to CYDF will be used for immediate construction of 40 temporary relief
classrooms in Mianzhu town; some 2,000 students will be able to resume lessons.
Temporary shelters
- Chengdu office in talks with local governments e.g. Dujiangyan, Beichuan, Mianzhu, Shifang, Jiangyou etc. to
provide assistance to build temporary shelters for displaced residents as well as to support future rebuilding
efforts.
CapitaLand Hope Schools
- CHF has committed to build 2 Hope Schools in Sichuan before the quake (in Muchuan & Beichuan respectively);
in view of the tragedy, construction will be brought forward and budget increased to take into account seismic
structural considerations.
Public Donation Boxes
- donation boxes placed across China in our residential and retail properties as well as serviced apartments.
- donation ongoing; total amount collected to be tabulated in June 08.
Messages of Love
- named "Fill the World with Love - CapitaLand Messages of Love & Support", a banner was put up against the
hoarding of our Raffles City Chengdu site for the Chinese public to leave messages and write words of support for
the quake victims.
- the activity was very well-received and it now serves as one of the many testaments of the solidarity and strength
the Chinese people.
Letters of Love
- named "Gathering of Love for a Better Tomorrow"; students in Beijing are encouraged to write letters to or draw
paintings for the children in the disaster area, to help the latter overcome the pain and sorrow of losing their of
loved ones and their homes.
- CL will donate RMB20 to CCF for every letter written.
- selected works will be compiled and published into a book, and given as gifts to the children in Sichuan to
encourage them to stay strong.
Jean Maljean in Concert
- under our arts sponsorship programme in China, famous jazz artist Jean Maljean will be collaborating with Kunqu opera artistes in a 2-day concert performance in Shanghai in July 08; proceeds will be donated in aid of quake victims.
Relief for affected CL staff (about 50 staff affected to date)
- Immediate family member (spouse, parent, children) deceased or missing - RMB20,000 per staff
- Close family member (grandparent, in-law, sibling) deceased or missing - RMB10,000 per staff
- Home collapsed or made inhabitable - RMB10,000 per staff
- Home damaged - RMB5,000 per staff
