New Shopping Zone Around Us

You may have scratched your head wondering why there were hoarding being erected at the junction of Orchard and Paterson roads and along the stretch of orchard road. Yes!!! U r right! Some of the malls are going for upgrading and at least three other upcoming malls are slated to open along the Orchard Road stretch within the next two years. One of it will be ION Orchard, a joint venture between my company & other developer, Hong Kong's Sun Hung Kai Properties. Wah............ such a huge & upscale mall. A retail-cum-super-luxury-residential With a 56-storey residential tower. Retail rents on Orchard Road at Ion Orchard likely to be very expensive. I think tenants that require high shopper traffic will mainly be the ones who will not mind paying the higher rentals or a percentage of their turnover, if the traffic volume would translate into higher revenue for them.

Orchard Turn MRT Entrance

COME the end of next year, shoppers at Orchard Road can expect a new eight-storey shopping mall right at the doorstep of Somerset MRT station that is 313@somerset. Just opposite Centrepoint. Developed by Lend Lease Retail Investment. It is expected to be completed by end of 2009.

The last one will be Orchard Central. OC is expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2008.. Also situated directly opposite Centrepoint. Developed by Far East Organization and OCBC Bank.

In Bugis, six-storey Illuma shopping mall is almost completed!!! WOW!!! Situated opposite Bugis Junction. Developed by Jack Investment. Upcoming project with cineplex and will be called Filmgarde Bugis. Impressive!



Another one in the east area, will be Tampines 1. Oh No!!!! Competitive market as my company is just situated near to them...... Tampines 1 is strategically located between Tampines MRT Station and Bus Interchange. A multi-dimensional and interactive mall for the young, savvy and lover of all things new. Opening in early 2009. Hmmmm..... Good...!! Good !! All Shopaholics, Let's GO!

Definition of "Friend"

Have you ever came across in the event when your friends contact you and inform that they are getting engaged or married something like that???? Understand that this is a very usual practice but have you ever wonder why does your friends would only contact you when they are having a special occasions and not during those usual circumstance.. Frankly speaking, I don't like this kind of bond!! Where were they when I needed them?? Sound ridiculous!! I shall not entertain at all!
